Welcome to the Kentwood Early Childhood Center web page. We provide children with a Prekindergarten (Pre-k) education. Pre-K is available to Big Spring children who are 4-years of age on or before September 1, 2018 and who meet eligibility requirements.

The information contained on this page will guide you through the qualifying and registration process. Qualifying and registration are two different processes. Both must be completed in full before your child can be placed in a class.

If you are interested in registering your child for Pre-K, please look over the qualiications and requirements below. You will also find information on how to begin the registration process.

To Qualify:

     -The last 3 paystubs of ALL household income.
     -If qualifying as military, bring DD214 form.

     -If qualifying as CPS/Foster Care, bring letter.

     -If qualifying as ESL, we will need to test your child.

If your child qualifies, you will need the following to register:

     -official birth certificate

     -immunization records

     -social security card for student

     -proof of residence (utility bill)

     -parent/guardian driver's license

     -proof of guardianship

     -any legal paper work (custody)
